Q: Where are you located? A: WeHaul.com is based in Boston, Massachusetts. See Service Area.
Q: How are WeHaul.com instant quote
calculators different from other moving estimate pages? A: At other mover's sites you e-mail your request for an estimate. The response can take many days to receive back. And you will still get only an estimate. Since our
proprietary calculators are always on-line, you don't have to wait -- you get your flat rate binding quote immediately!
Q: How accurate are WeHaul.com instant quote calculators? A: Very, very accurate. These on-line
calculators were created after years of experience in the industry, and with the help/feedback of every person on our team, especially programming and accounting students. Several versions were introduced for the last 2 years and
series of improvements were made to ensure that the calculators would work on any platform, even if you were still using a 486 computer, or an older browser. Currently in use, we do have the greatest pricing model/system in place
in the industry. Complex programming and logistics, combined with the quick/easy-to-use screens resulted in a highly accurate method of determining your actual price.
Q: What is the catch? What's cheaper? An estimate based
on hourly rates, or a quote from the calculators? A: There's no catch. We are really different from other companies. We are honest and upfront with you in our pricing. The quote is what you pay. We are not afraid to show our
competitive prices to anyone. And we will not change the price on you, as long as the information provided is a relevant representation of your job. We will make sure that it is correct during our confirmation phone call.
Empirically, on 9 out of 10 jobs we do not make changes to the price. Any changes were due to significant discrepancies between the items listed on the invoice and the actual amount of stuff. Changes were communicated upfront to
our customers, and were approved by our office. We also do not mind giving you the option of getting an hourly estimate from us. In this case though we will have to know in advance, since travel time is charged at the moment
when our truck leaves the base. See Estimate vs. Quote comparison.
Q: Can we help move? A: That was the idea behind WeHaul.com Discount for All Service. Any help from you will directly bring your moving cost down.
Please, be realistic about your abilities.
Q: Does your company pack, disassemble, assemble, and unpack? A: We provide additional services as requested either on the day of the move or the day before (depending on the
circumstances). If you choose to pack, we can deliver boxes to you before move day if you need them. There is no charge for the delivery.
Q: Do you charge for materials? A: We charge for any moving materials that you
request or that are used by the crew (boxes, packing paper, tape, etc.)
Q: Do the movers come with boxes on the truck? A: Our crews come fully prepared for any circumstances that might develop. If you need boxes or other
materials, we will have them available at the jobsite.
Q: Can clothes be left in drawers? A: In general, we recommend that you unload items from all bureaus, desks, dressers, etc. Doing so will make the movers job easier
and also prevent damage. For small, light dressers, leaving light clothes in the drawers should be fine (use your best Judgment).
Q: Can we ride inside the truck?
A: For insurance reasons we cannot transport you to your new location. We ask that you arrange for your own transportation beforehand.
Q: What do you do to protect our floors if we have inclement weather? A: We can put
pads down on carpet to limit the tracking and cutting a piece of cardboard for the entryway absorbs moisture without making the footing a risk in the doorway. We also have a clear plastic product for sale to protect your stairways
or high traffic areas (see Materials price list).
Q: What kind of pads do you have? A: We have large, thick, quilted pads for the furniture that we send out to wash every year.
Q: Are you insured? A: A
certificate of insurance is available upon request. We are well insured and have different options for handling liability.
Q: Are your workers trained and work exclusively for you? A: We only use our own employees and a
few contractors that work for us full time. Our training program is designed to bring all new workers up to speed as to where we stand on quality. Also, we have a bonus program, in recognition of a job well done.
Q: What kind of boxes should we use to pack our small items? A: It is best to use closed top boxes and label the boxes on two sides and not just the top. This enables our crew handle a box in the truck less by identifying where
boxes go without having to lift each box to read the top markings. The closed top boxes enables us to stack and pack the truck easier and quicker.
Q: What items should we take in our own vehicle?
A: See list of non-moveable items. We definitely wouldn't move those.
Q: Do you do hoisting? A: WeHaul.com is a moving company and not a hoisting specialist. For difficult hoisting jobs (pianos, etc.) you should arrange
for a specialist to do the job at a time when it does not interfere with the rest of the move. We work with hoisting specialists regularly and will be glad to refer you to one if you need it.
