FURNISHED ROOMS:
(NUMBER OF EMPLOYEE WORKSTATIONS)
We need to quantify the size of your move (in cubic feet) and the weight of your move (in pounds). For the time being, we are using the industry standard of "1 room of furniture = ~1,000 pounds" to estimate weight. Do your best to equate your move to a number of rooms of furniture (include your basement and your garage if they have a significant amount of items in them to be moved). Do NOT count your kitchen, if all you have there is a kitchen table.
The answer to this question also determines the amount of work needed once we are behind your doorstep. If we are picking-up stuff from 4 rooms for example, we assume that we will be leaving it in 4 rooms accordingly at the destination.

LARGE / HEAVY ITEMS:
Items such as TV sets 32" or larger, mattresses, major appliances and big pieces of furniture carry a charge to compensate for the difficulty of loading and unloading such articles, and their unusual bulk or high/low weight density. The common sense approach is that if an item requires at least two people to carry, than it is a large item. Please note that a bed usually consists of 2 large items, a mattress and a box spring.
If you chose to place your order on-line, you'll be asked to itemize these large articles in step 2 of the submission. The list will appear on your moving contract.

SMALL ITEMS:
Items such as boxes, bags, lamps, small appliances and small pieces of furniture. One person should be able to carry one, or several of these to the truck. Good packing job will reduce the amount of smaller items. Keep in mind the stuff you do not immediately see, or have forgotten about at the time of placing this order. Closets, kitchen cabinets and dressers will also generate additional smaller items.

FLIGHTS OF STAIRS:
(1 flight is a set of stairs; at about 14-16 steps)
Flight Carry (Stair Carry): A charge to compensate for the additional labor and time required to move goods up or down flights of stairs which leads to or from an origin or destination residence. Generally applicable only if your shipment is being moved into or out of a dwelling located entirely above or below ground level. For stairs inside a private residence - use your best judgment: generally, if half of your stuff goes on the ground floor, and the other half, on the second, then your answer would be 0.50
(Is there an Elevator?  Yes  No)
Elevator Carry: A charge to compensate for the additional labor required to move goods by way of an elevator. Applicable only if your shipment needs to be moved by means of an elevator at either the point of origin or the point of destination.

The elevator carry in most cases eliminates the flight carry charge. If for example, you're moving out of an 8th floor apartment with elevator and street level lobby, then your answers will be 0 for flights and Elevator - YES.

FEET FROM PARKING TO YOUR DOOR:
A charge to compensate for the additional labor and time required to move goods between your door and the truck.

HOURS TO COMPLETE THE JOB?
The answer to this question will have no impact on your quote; it is only for a general idea and control purposes. We keep your quote fixed and time to completion flexible. Our competitors keep both flexible.

DISCOUNT, OR HELP IN COMPLETING THE MOVE:
(Applicable only to WeHaul Moves @ Discount for All)
The answer to this question directly discounts your quote. Your cooperation will be expected in coordinating the move as well as helping in loading/unloading to a degree proportionate to the applied discount. Please, keep in mind that you will be actually expected to be able and willing to get the work you promised done. The higher the discount (help from you), the fewer guys we will assign to your job.

For example, 50% discount would mean that we will generally send you 2 guys, and you will be expected to match those with two guys capable of getting at about half of the lifting at both addresses.

Feel free to re-calculate your quote as many times as it takes to get to the quote you're comfortable with.
